Abstract

The review presents literature data on the basic principles of using infrared spectroscopy (ICS) for clinical studies of cerebral oxygenation in newborns with hypoxicischemic encephalopathy. The results of using ICS for monitoring cerebral oxygenation and mitochondrial oxidative metabolism are presented.
