This study is devoted to the study of the effectiveness and rationale for additional fixation of the spinal motion segment with a plate after open microdiscectomy. The clinical study is based on the materials of diagnostics and surgical treatment of 64 patients aged 18 to 74 years, among whom males predominated (48 men, 16 women), who were operated on for herniated intervertebral discs of the cervical spine.
