Abstract

The article discusses the types, classification, main causes, complications of headaches in children, difficulties in organizing pediatric headache care, ways to solve them, and the importance of timely diagnosis. The necessity of conducting large-scale epidemiological studies among children and adolescents in Azerbaijan is indicated. For this purpose, a translated version of the HARDSHIP questionnaire, should be adapted and validated for broad use. The questions included in this survey will facilitate early diagnosis of headaches in children and adolescents, identify comorbid conditions, and study the impact of headaches on the lives of children and adolescents. Early diagnosis and effective treatment of primary headache disorders in children and adolescents will have a positive impact on patients in this age group by improving long-term headache and mental health outcomes, increasing quality of life, reducing disease burden, and helping to rationalize healthcare costs.
